Delete Your Bitewise Account
Last updated June 20, 2026
Bitewise provides both an in-app account deletion flow and an external request path for users who cannot access the app.
Delete in the App
- Open Bitewise and sign in.
- Go to Settings.
- Select Delete account.
- Review the confirmation message.
- Confirm deletion.
After confirmation, Bitewise removes the account data controlled by the Bitewise backend and signs you out of the local app session.
Request Deletion by Email
If app access is unavailable, send a deletion request to joinbitewise@gmail.com from the email address associated with the Google or Apple account used for Bitewise.
Include “Bitewise account deletion request” in the subject. We may ask for information to verify account ownership before processing the request.
Data Deleted from Bitewise
| Data type | Deletion behavior |
|---|---|
| User account record | Deleted from Bitewise account storage. |
| Profile and goal settings | Deleted, including daily target inputs and reminder preference. |
| Daily plan | Deleted from Bitewise plan storage. |
| Meals, drinks, and estimates | Deleted from Bitewise nutrition records. |
| Food photo records and stored photos | Deleted when controlled by Bitewise storage and deletion systems. |
| Bitewise entitlement record | Deleted from Bitewise subscription entitlement storage. |
Data Not Deleted by Account Deletion
- Google Play or Apple purchase history and subscription records managed by the app stores.
- Records that must be retained temporarily for legal, security, fraud prevention, or operational reasons.
- Aggregated or de-identified diagnostics that no longer identify an individual user.
Subscription Cancellation
Deleting a Bitewise account does not cancel an active store subscription. Subscriptions must be cancelled in Google Play or Apple subscription settings. Uninstalling the app also does not cancel a subscription.
