Refund Policy
Last updated August 22, 2026
Web payments are eligible for a full refund within 14 days, with no exceptions or conditions. Paddle is the Merchant of Record for web purchases and processes those refunds; app-store purchases are refunded by Apple or Google under their policies.
14-day refund window for web purchases
Every web payment made through Paddle is eligible for a full refund when requested within 14 calendar days of the transaction date. This 14-day refund window has no exceptions or conditions.
Who refunds your purchase
The answer depends on where you bought your subscription, because the channels have different sellers:
- Bought on the web (through joinbitewise.com or a Bitewise checkout page) — Paddle is the seller of record and handles the refund. This is how every Bitewise subscription is sold today.
- Bought inside an app store — Apple or Google is the seller of record and handles the refund.
Bitewise LTD operates Bitewise and provides the service. It is not the merchant for either channel, so it does not hold your payment and cannot reverse it directly.
Paddle is our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record
Web purchases of Bitewise are sold by Paddle.com Market Ltd as our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle is the party you contract with for the transaction itself, and Paddle — not Bitewise LTD — is responsible for:
- taking the payment and holding the funds;
- calculating, collecting, and remitting any applicable sales tax or VAT;
- issuing your receipt and invoice;
- transaction-related buyer support, including billing questions;
- processing refunds for web payments.
This is why “Paddle” — not “Bitewise” — is what you are likely to see on your card or bank statement for a web purchase.
How to request a refund for a web purchase
You have two routes, and either one reaches the same place:
- Use your Paddle receipt. Every Paddle receipt email links to a buyer portal where you can view the transaction, manage the subscription, and raise a refund request.
- Contact Paddle buyer support directly at paddle.net, Paddle’s support site for buyers.
You can also contact us at joinbitewise@gmail.com. We will help and can ask Paddle to process the request on your behalf, but the refund itself is issued by Paddle. A request made within the 14-day window receives a full refund with no exceptions or conditions. Going to Paddle first is usually faster.
App-store purchases
A subscription bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play is a transaction between you and that store. Request a refund through Apple’s “Report a Problem” flow or your Apple purchase history, or through Google Play’s order history and refund request form; the store’s own terms and refund policy govern it. Bitewise LTD cannot issue an app-store refund, and neither can Paddle.
Free trials, renewals, and avoiding a charge
Every Bitewise plan includes a free trial, and cancelling before the trial ends means you are never charged — cleaner than a refund. After that, a subscription renews automatically each billing period until you cancel, and cancelling stops the next renewal. If a web payment has already been made, the unconditional 14-day refund window above applies separately. Cancel through the channel you purchased from — see Subscriptions, Free Trial & Billing in our Terms of Service.
Your statutory rights
Nothing on this page limits mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live, including any statutory right of withdrawal or cancellation period. Those rights apply in addition to the routes described above, and they are unaffected by anything in this policy or in our Terms of Service.
